The “Zalaka” Trimiklini Nature Study Trail is located at an altitude between 550 and 730 meters, is circular with a length of 8.70 kilometers, and has a degree of difficulty of 2. The beginning point is the ancient Church. Panagia Eleousa and a public parking area date to the 16th century and are located in the center of the village near to the Limassol-Platron intercity road.
The path is located on the south-east side of the Community and follows a signposted route from the center of the Community, intersects the main road, and passes 300m through the traditional historic core towards the eastern side of the village, where it terminates at the beginning of the dirt track, where there is a sign with a map of the path’s direction, a rest area, and a drinking water tap.
On the route through the interior, we encounter an aqueduct constructed before 1900 and one constructed in 1947. Then, at a distance of approximately 600 meters, we encounter the ancient water sources constructed with local stone. The walker follows a circular route from the north-east to the north-west of the community, which initially terminates at the main Limassol-Platron road, south of the community, and then continues north through various plantations, along a rural road and path to the old fountain of Zeno and from there, in a parking lot south of the community. Then, using the main road’s sidewalks to return to the square’s starting point, the walker can experience panoramic views of the surrounding communities from various points along the path.
